QWO's final performance for 2007 was Cartoon, a fun-filled concert including music from The Incredibles, Thunderbirds and Looney Tunes.  The show was a fantastic afternoon for families and music lovers.

In addition to the familiar themes above, QWO performed Johan de Meij's T-Bone Concerto, featuring QWO trombonist Francis Carroll. Its three movements are entitled Rare, Medium and Well Done.

QWO continually strives to bring new wind ensemble music to our audiences and Cartoon was no exception.  John Mackey's Sasparilla and Michael Daugherty's Red Cape Tango were both premiered in Australia by QWO at this concert.
