Masterworks Series Kicks Off |

The Queensland Wind Orchestra's "Masterworks for Winds" concert series commenced in style on a lovely September afternoon at the Joigny Theatre. "Masterworks for Winds 1"
was QWO's third major concert for 2005 and featured compositions by the
likes of Alfred Reed, Claude T. Smith, J.S. Bach, Ira Hearshen, Rolf
Rudin and Vincent Persichetti.
This was one of the more challenging concert programmes the
orchestra has performed so credit is due to the players and conductor
for all their hard work in preparation for the concert. The
performance was enjoyed by a small but appreciative audience. The
Masterworks series continues in 2006 - watch this space for more
details. In the meantime,look forward to "All That Jazz" which the orchestra performs in November 2005!
